Russell ‘Taylors’ to Sabahans’ needs by bringing its products to S-Mart Sabah

Kitchen appliances brand expands its presence to Sabah through Shopee

Russell Taylors, a brand specialising in kitchen appliances for the home, now delivers its line of products to Sabahans directly from the state itself via a collaboration with Malaysia’s no. 1 e-commerce platform Shopee. This expansion is on the back of market research executed by the brand, where resulting insights have shown a strong demand for Russell Taylors goods from Sabah.

With the country still battling the spread of Covid-19, the digitalization of businesses becomes essential as more Malaysians shop online for necessities including home appliances. This is apparent in the sales performance achieved by Russell Taylors on Shopee during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

From March to June 2020, Russell Taylors recorded a significant increase in the sales of its products from Sabah alone, compared to the pre-MCO period as buyers were looking for devices that will help them prepare meals hassle-free. This signals an increase in the number of people cooking at home as they practice social distancing and stay home efforts. Some of the best-selling products during this period include the popular Russell Taylors Air Fryer AF-24 and the Russell Taylors Pressure Cooker PC-60.

As an online-first company, Russell Taylors consistently looks to enhance their user experience in addition to already delivering precisely engineered electronic kitchen assistants to their customers’ doorsteps. To cater to the increasing demand from Sabah, the brand will be featuring its products on Shopee’s Sabah-dedicated online store called S-Mart Sabah from 20 August onwards.

What this means to Sabahans is that they can now get Russell Taylors products faster as they are shipped directly from Shopee’s fulfillment warehouse in Kota Kinabalu, as opposed to purchasing from Peninsular Malaysia and having to wait for a longer delivery time. They can also enjoy free shipping for up to 5kg with a minimum spend of RM40. Additionally, all products in S-Mart Sabah are guaranteed 100% authentic while 15 days returns are available at zero cost.

In conjunction with the launch of Russell Taylors on S-Mart Sabah, there will be special prices on offer for its products on Shocking Sale and also exclusive in-store vouchers on 20 August 2020 for Sabahans. Additionally, with the Shopee 9.9 Super Shopping Day taking place from 21 August to 9 September, Sabahans who visit S-Mart Sabah will be treated to attractive deals from as low as RM0.19 and limited storewide vouchers for greater savings across groceries and household product brands.

Sabah student’s display of exemplary determination attracts Shopee

The story of Veveonah Mosibin who had to spend a night up a tree to get better internet access in order to do her exams online, has caught the attention of Shopee. The e-commerce platform sent a team over to Kg Sapatalang, Pitas, to visit the 18-year-old student and presented her with a Shopee Care Package.

Understanding that Veveonah’s struggles may extend to many other youths, Shopee has also curated a Shopee Sapot Lokal Bah! campaign from 16 to 18 July specially for all Sabahans. The campaign will exclusively feature products from Sabah sellers as well as S-Mart Sabah with attractive vouchers for home essentials, fashion items, gadgets and more to showcase what the Land Below the Wind has to offer for Malaysians.
